Laundry

#2 got up this morning and decided to do laundry. She had put some of her clothes in the washing machine, and soap too. She told me she needed to wash her dress so she could wear it today. It was a nice thought, I showed her where she had some clean clothes already and she was satisfied with that. She is cute, even with cookie on her face.

New Smile

This is what can happen if you play tug of war with your teeth. Some things are learned the hard way.

(#1 thought this picture was hilarious, he laughed and laughed.)

Spoons

#1 and I have been having a silent argument. I have noticed that every time I go to put the spoons away in the silverware drawer, the big spoons and little spoons have switched places. The first couple of times it happened, I just thought,"that's odd," and switched them back and thought nothing more about it. It kept happening and so I became more observant. I then noticed that every time I had put them in the correct spot, if #1 went to the drawer to get something, he would always switch the spoons. I'm not sure what to think about it, but it makes me laugh. I wonder how long it will continue.

Swords, Stairs, Spring Showers

One of #1's favorite things to do is raid my utensil drawer. He sticks spoons, spatulas, or whatever he can find (preferably long and skinny or pointed) into the belt loops on his pants. If his pants don't happen to have belt loops, waistbands and pockets work too. He then will dance around the room waving them like swords. We even get sound effects. He can sometimes convince #2 to sword fight with him, however I think she has gotten hit too many times so she doesn't like to play anymore. Yesterday, #1 discovered that my salad spoon fits perfectly into the long skinny vacuum cleaner attachment. So, now he has a sheath for his sword. I love boys.

#3 has mastered stairs. She is the first one down if she thinks we are going outside. I found her downstairs today tasting everyones shoes. I may have to find a new spot for them. The best part is how proud she is of herself. I love her smile.

It rained all day today. So, we made umbrella and raindrop cookies. They turned out quite cute, even if the colors were a little wild. Happy Spring!

Haircut pics

#1 and #2, about a month before the scissor incident.

#3 exploring the new rug (Dad brought it home from the UAE).

#2's new do. The shortest part on top, blends in pretty well actually. Too short for ponytails though.

#1, with a buzz. It's grown quite a bit in a week too.
