Aaron in Abu Dhabi

Well over the last week and the next week and a half I'm in Abu Dhabi in the UAE. It's been interesting being in a foreign country for the first time. It's an amazing city with greenery everywhere especially for the dessert. I'll post a few pictures I've taken around town and from my hotel room. The best way to view the city is google maps.http://maps.google.com/maps?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4WZPA_enUS248US248&q=picasa&um=1&sa=N&tab=wl

I took a long walk along the corniche today which spreads along the water down to the Emirates Palace which is beautiful. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, except maybe if I had worn a hat. I got a bit of a sun burn on my head. Oh well here are some pictures. They were having the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix which is an F1 powerboat race. I got down there just as they were starting one of the races this afternoon. It was pretty neat for 10 min. then it's just watching boats go around in a circle, kind of like Nascar which is probably why I don't watch that either. The nice ones that are from the hotel room that show the sea are actually from my managers room, he got one facing the ocean. My room over looks the Capital Gardens which is just like a central park a block from the water.
