Green Beans

I don't consider my kids to be picky eaters. They will pretty much eat anything I put on their plate, or at least try it. #2 is the pickiest. A few months ago I made a quiche, she was so excited when I pulled it out of the oven. While it was cooling I left the room. When I came back she had pulled a chair up to the counter and had a spoon digging in. I got her a plate and had her sit down at the table. She took one bite and the said, "I don't love quiche." She didn't eat any more. She also will not eat green beans. She loves to help snap them and wash them, but she won't eat them. I always put a few on her plate anyway. Tonight as I was setting dinner on the table, Pizza Burgers with green beans. I decided to squeeze a little Ranch dressing on her plate thinking maybe she would eat her green beans that way. Well, to my surprise she gobbled them up and asked for more. I guess I should have cooked more. I gave her the rest of mine and she went to the fridge to get her favorite salad dressing, Raspberry Vinaigrette (it's purple you know). I laughed when she turned her plate up and drank the rest of the dressing off of it. Crazy kid.
