We have visited some of the great lakes beaches too. Some with much colder water than others. The temperature was actually 90 degrees today, so it was great for swimming. Quite a change since we still had freezing nights at the beginning of the month. If..and that's a BIG IF...I ever take the kids back to a beach I will have to remember to wear my swimsuit, and not just bring it. Sometime I wish my children were a little more timid. They are all fearless when it comes to the water. I was very grateful Donna was there to help. (Thank-you). The plan was to have a picnic at the beach, however I think the gulls ate more of the sandwiches than the kids. That happens when they are left unattended.

We had some great fun watching some heavy equipment put in a new septic system behind our barn today. They were even kind enough to put a scoop of sand into the tractor tire sandbox that a neighbor donated to the kids last week. There are good time ahead for sure!

ohhh, kids and the water. Don't get me started!!!
Sounds like fun stuff happening at your place, though. So, how much land do you guys have?
I'm certainly bringing life jackets next time. Our house is on 2 1/2 acres, it's wonderful. Lots of space! There is a small lake (read large pond) that boarders the property too, not good for much other than fishing, and my son can't hardly wait until he gets a chance to try.
