4th of July

I love the 4th of July. Independence day has always been one of my favorite holidays. The last several years, we have had some friends over and had some barbecue (Dad's favorite hobby) and lit fireworks into the field behind our house. It has been a lot of fun.

#2 does not like fireworks. She curled up on my lap, under a blanket and covered her eyes and ears. Then she asked me if I could just take her to bed. I did.

We also discovered #3 is allergic to sunscreen. The kids were outside playing in the water, and she wanted to join them. I got her swimsuit on and put sunscreen on her. A few minutes later Dad brought her back in and she had hives all over her face. Then, I did remember she broke out in a rash last time with the sunscreen. Luckily a little benedryl and half an hour later and she was fine again. I found some Burt's Bees sunscreen at Walmart that has a different active ingredient, it was also $15. So hopefully that will work better for her.

I don't have any pictures of the fourth, but here' a cute one of #3 wearing the flower headband I made for her.
