The big move

Well, the kids are asleep, Dad is heading off to work (for time change), and I just finished watching my all time favorite Halloween movie, Arsenic and Old Lace. Yes, I know Halloween was yesterday, but we didn't get it from Netflix until today and I really should just buy the movie but I haven't. Anyway, I thought I would finally get around to some blogging, it's been too long.

First here's a few pictures from our trip out here. It's only been almost three weeks, but it feels like it's been a lot longer. #1, Dad and Grandpa were able to get on the road several hours ahead of us girls. I had a few things left to do, drop off stuff at Goodwill, eat breakfast somewhere, re-paint a wall, and finish some cleaning. Thanks to some wonderful friends who helped clean and watch the girls, we were on the road by 2pm. A little later than we'd planned but it all worked out. We stayed overnight in Davenport, Iowa enjoyed a nice breakfast the next morning and were on our way again. I didn't take any pictures until the Indiana welcome center, but we had a nice drive, with several potty stops and a few stops just to eat and let the girls run a little.

It was late, almost 10:00 when we finally made it. The truck and trailer had long been unloaded thanks to some great help from the Elders Quorum in our new Branch and also Dad and Nate who drove up to help too.

I am absolutely amazed at how easy this move was for me. It was quick and for the most part unexpected, Aaron wasn't even looking for a new job. I know the Lord has led our family here. Even though moving is stressful, I felt calm and at peace throughout the whole process. I know it was because we were following the plan the Lord has for our family. We absolutely love it here. It is beautiful, and all the people we have met are really, really friendly. Life is much slower paced and we have had time to enjoy being together as a family.

Tommorow, I hope to post some Halloween pics, the kids had a blast!

It's so much easier to see someone else move... hmm, why is that you think? I'm glad to see you guys made it there safely. Love the Halloweeness, and the opinionated girls you have. Tee hee. Someday I'll have my own to deal with.

So you guys moved to Michigan? Congrats on the new job. Sorry we never got a chance to get together while you were here in Kansas city. Your family is too cute!
