Fun in the leaves

We have a neighbor that rakes up the leaves for us and he told me last week that the last maple tree in our yard would hold on to it's leaves until Christmas. It took two days and they were all off. The kids had a blast playing in them. I even let them bury me in the leaves. We have had wonderful weather this week, it has been absolutely gorgeous. I think it's supposed to turn colder tomorrow. We are anxiously looking forward to our first foot of snow (I don't think it's in the forecast yet). Dad got a new snowblower this week that he can't wait to use! I'm sure he'll get his chance, we have a very long driveway. There are also two ski places in town, that should be lots of fun. Happy fall!

We lost a flip flop in this pile of leaves. To my knowledge it still has not been found. I seem to remember digging through a pile of leaves by the curb for a lost shoe, many years ago. I don't remember whose shoe it was, maybe Serena's, but I think that one was found.
